Everyone's talking about Earth Day, so some local D.C. foodies (FoodieTots and ArugulaFiles) decided to try a "Blog for the Bay" day, urging bloggers to write about the Chesapeake Bay and then link to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s petition urging the EPA to quit delaying action to help save our Bay. There is so much good food and fun to be had, even beyond all the delicious crab, which is unfortunately suffering because of the ever-deteriorating conditions of the Bay. I was just in Annapolis last week for work, and it was such a fantastic day that it lifted my spirits all week (I highly recommend oyster shooters at Middleton Tavern). So, here's my ode to the Bay and to the Eastern Shore — oh how many memories I have!
