Board No. 113 - California Cool

I was strolling around Capitol Hill (D.C.) on Sunday with a friend and we happened upon a garage sale getting ready to pack it in for the weekend. Well, I was lucky and found 19 super cool vintage glasses. Well, my favorite happens to be a three-toned (pretty rare) one from Hazel Atlas depicting California. It has been quite a while since I did one of my 50 Nifty posts, honoring each great state, so here's the next installment:

Board No. 79 - The Great Commonwealth

Board No. 64 - OH - IO

Here's post No. 2 on my way to 50 Nifty. I'm heading to Cincinnati this weekend for a wedding and whereas I didn't have much love for Jersey, there is an odd place in my heart for Ohio. I am from the Buckeye State and spent 18 years growing up in the land of Cleve, so it will always be my home state (and the state that introduced me to my boyfriend, an OSU graduate).

Board No. 54 - The Jerse

Inspired by this beautiful Treasury, which focuses on vintage-style road trips and will unfortunately soon be gone, I decided to do the first post in a series I've been thinking about for a while. I want to feature all 50 different states (over time, of course) and this weekend I am headed up to New Jersey for an engagement party. I know all the stereotypes of the Garden State, and I agree with most of them, but there really are parts that are exceptionally beautiful — I'm just not going to any of those places this weekend; it's off to Paramus for me!
